We have a strong Young Leader Team who form an important part of the Group. Most of them started as Beavers and have grown up knowing each other for most of their lives. This has helped to create a “Family Atmosphere” and a better understanding between the members and the leaders.
Our Young Leaders are encouraged to work towards their Duke Of Edinburgh Award. The leaders in the group are assisting them with their expedition training, as well as ensuring that their record books are kept up to date!
Without the assistance of the Young Leaders, the challenging and exciting section programmes could not be run. All of the young leaders are potential leaders of the future – they have the knowledge, enthusiasm and ability to take 19th forward.
Young Leaders form part of the District Explorers and are a Unit of their own right. Other Explorer Units are available.
