Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Young Leaders and leaders of the Group met up a Chalfont Heights Campsite on the weekend of the 19th June. Also ther were parents and other adukts. This gave everyone a chance to enjoy activities they wouldn’t normally participate in, and a chance for the adults to sit around and chat to the regular helpes.
The Friday evening was taken up with setting up the campsite which included a kitchen area large enough to cater for 80 people..
Activities started after a hearty fry up on Saturday morning followed by clibing, abseiling go carts, archery etc. Lunch was seved to all from the central area and while activities carried in the support team prepared the evening meal.
The cubs and scouts had thereown “Backwoods” meal while the remainder had aBBQ. After the meal in order to quiten the younger members down the AGM was held, with Nigel Bevan coming along tosupport the Group. He thanked allthose adults who had spent there valuable free time supporting the Group, especially as the 19th were the fastest growing Group in District.
Sunday was started after breakfast with a Scouts Own followeed by more activities before striking camp to go home.
